Goal & Purpose

The main objectives of the Diyana Zuraimi Center For Grief, Bereavement and Trauma (GBAT) are as follows
  1. To provide grief education to develop and enhance the capacity of individuals, organisations and communities to deal effectively with loss
  2. To undertake charitable non profit community based activities aligned with the objectives of the GBAT.
  3. To provide grief and bereavement training and supervision to equip members and also the community to effectively support each other during loss.
  4. To raise the community awareness on the importance of healthy grieving to inform policy development.
  5. To embrace other purposes and objects as may be decided by the Yayasan from time to time.

Being the first of its kind in Malaysia, we are trained to provide grief support to everyone regardless of background while preserving their privacy using socially and scientifically accepted methods and we aspire to one day be the leading centre of grief in the country.”
